CARRARA AND ITS MARBLE QUARRIES -The most important city in the world for the extraction and processing of the famous Carrara marble, a much prized white marble, which is extracted in the Apuan Alps above the town. Carrara is linked to the marble extraction process since Roman times and since then to date, marble is used for the realization of the most beautiful works of art in history. It worth a visit the old center where among the historical monuments of the city to visit stand out: the cathedral of St. Andrea, Alberica Square, the Academy of Fine Arts and Palazzo Binelli.

MUSEUM OF MARBLE- it houses the memory of Carrara where the marble culture is collected and documented. It contains works of rare beauty, archaeological finds from the quarries and instruments for the extraction and processing from Roman times to today.

LUNI ANCIENT ROMAN CITY - archaeological site and museum-system, it worth a visit the city of Luni with its museum, the remains of the public area, the amphitheater, the temples, the Domus and the streets.

SEASIDE AND BEACHES - equipped bathing establishments and free beaches along the Tyrrhenian Sea from the Apuan Riviera to the Versilia Riviera: Marinella, Marina di Carrara, Marina di Massa and Forte dei Marmi. In Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio are the super-equipped bathing establishments, the latest fashion shops, the nightclubs and the restaurants.

The CINQUETERRE - The Cinque Terre are located on a rugged portion of coast of the Ligurian Riviera di Levante in the province of La Spezia. The five villages of Rio Maggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso are part of UNESCO because inserted in a cultural landscape of exceptional value that represents the harmonious interaction settled between man and nature. The Cinque Terre are considered one of the most evocative Italian coastal attractions for their harsh and rugged hilly environment, softened by the construction of terraces for cultivation which fall into the sea with steep slopes. At the points where the sea creeps into the earth lie the villages and the trail that connects the villages is known as “The Way of Love”.

PORTOVENERE - lies on a peninsula in the Gulf of La Spezia, also called the Gulf of Poets. At the end of this peninsula are three small islands: Palmaria, Tino, Tinetto. It is strongly recommended a visit to the ancient village of Portovenere with its church of San Pietro and the typical shops, as well as a boat trip from the harbor around the islands.

PISA –a city included in the World Heritage where you can admire some European Romanesque masterpieces, including the monuments around Piazza del Duomo, which is renowned also by the expression of Piazza dei Miracoli, the center of religious life with the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the baptistery, the cemetery and the bell tower. The bell tower of Santa Maria, known as "the leaning tower or "tower of Pisa" is one of the most famous Italian monuments in the world, dating back to the twelfth century, 56 meters high, acquired its characteristic tilt ten years after the beginning of his construction. Among the many squares and historic buildings to see in Pisa, stands the Piazza dei Cavalieri with the Palace of the Caravan, currently home to the prestigious Scuola Normale Superiore and among the churches, Santa Maria della Spina, considered one of the masterpieces of Italian Gothic.

LUCCA - famous for its historical monuments, it is one of the most known cities in Italian art. Famous for its surrounding walls of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, it is a monumental historical center still intact. It is also renowned as the city of 100 churches for the numerous medieval churches.

FLORENCE – heritage of UNESCO, in the Middle Ages it was important as a cultural, commercial and finance city. In the Renaissance, as the capital of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany with the government of the Medici and Lorena families, the city experienced its heyday. It is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance and universally the cradle of art and architecture, and renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the world thanks to its numerous monuments and museums, such as the Duomo, Santa Croce, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Pitti.
